I would like to use the following code to add a hyperlink to my module. However once moved from design site to Production it wil no longer be localhost but rather an actual website domain. Is there a way to do this genericly? the only difference will be the website url as the portal and subportal will always be the same.

"Punch Clock Site"

LinktoPortal.NavigateUrl =

"http://localhost/punchinportal/default.aspx"

Else

LinktoPortal.Text =

"Admin Site"

LinktoPortal.NavigateUrl =

"http://localhost/Default.aspx"

End If

LinktoPortal.Text =

Use following;

string hostname = Request.Url.Host;
LinktoPortal.NavigateUrl = "http://" + hostname + @"punchportal/default.aspx"

 Thanks for the reply

I used your example with a little alteration. Request.URL.Host returned the Base URL as I needed so it Returned "LocalHost" or "WWW.Website.Com". However I was not really sure what the @ symbol is for so I removed it and added the "/" to my string and it works great.

LinktoPortal.NavigateUrl = "http://" + HostName + "/Default.aspx"

thanks
