Is there a way to tie a module to a specific pc so it can't be copied? I was using the MAC address, but that apparently doesn't enumerate well when there's no connectivity (as i unfortunately discovered during a presentation of it!). The setup is basically a kiosk in a store, no internet, sold as an application. I don't want them to be able to just copy it to another PC without paying my fee. Is there some reliable way to license it to that specific PC via asp.net code?

You might tie it to the machine name but that could be changed?

Perhaps there are other system values that .NET exposes that are unique to a machine?

each DNN installation and portal are having individual GUIDs assigned you may use for identification - though there is no protection against the whole installation being copied to a different machine (which might be necessary on a machine failure).
