Hi,

I have a page that hosts a single module that uses an ID passed in the querystring (i.e. ?myid=12345). When I use any of the module actions (i.e. Settings) the Action.Url does not include the original querystring.

I've subclassed PortalModuleBase and can amend the Action.Urls so I retain the querystring going into the Settings page, but when I update/cancel I lose the querystring.

Any ideas how I can retain the querystring across module action postbacks?

Thanks,
Rhys

When generating the URLs using the EditUrl method, use the overload that allows you to specify the querystring parameters.  Unfortunately, you will need to manually re-include it on various steps, depending on what you're doing.

Hi Will,

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, getting the querystring parameters into the module action URLs isn't the problem - it's getting them noticed and used by core code that I couldn't work out. I've now done a little digging into ModuleSettings.ascx.vb (as an example) and update/cancel use 'Response.Redirect(NavigateURL(), True)' - without modifying the core I'm never going to get NavigateURL() to recognise that I want it to pick up additional items.

Maybe it's time for a re-think about the way I'm approaching this problem :)

Thanks,
Rhys

NavigateURL also has overloads to include querystring parameters.
