This error hits me as soon as I am going to execute the file: 01.00.00.SqlDataProvider which stores my table definitions and storedprocedures .... this one does execute beautifully on developing machine butnotonproduction? Both are DNN 5.5 installations

check your connection string definition, compare the code of your dataprovider with some core modules (Documents, Announcements, Survey).

I found the problem. For the first time ever I hade and option in Host >> SQL >> Connection:  There is now [LocalMySQLServer] AND [SiteSqlserver] to choose form. Default was it set to [LocalMySQLServer] which I never used before. Changing Host >> SQL >> Connection setting to [SiteSqlserver] solved my problem. Thanks for your support Sebastian
