I’m trying to develop a DNN module and am using the webinar presentation on the www.dotnetnuke.com to walk me through this.  I do have a working DNN website on my local and it is working great.  I downloaded the templates that Chris Hammond advised to download for VB in his webinar presentation, as well as the nant for packaging the new module and all of that worked great!

When I go into Visual Studio 2008, do a file>new project> and select the Christoc.com VB Compiled Module template, give it the name UserDefined and click on OK.  I then get an “System.Runtime.InteropServices.ComException” error.   It does create the folder in the Desktop modules folder for my local installation of DNN, but it will not display in my solution explorer.  However, if I select the DNN Compiled Module template that was delivered with the SDK, I don’t get this error.   Any idea’s as to why I get this error when I try and load the Christoc.com VB Compiled Module template?

Thanks in advance!
