i have other database with data. In dotnetnuke 4, i add like this:
1.<data defaultProvider="SqlDataProvider">
2.      <providers>
3.        <clear />
4.        <add name="SqlDataProvider" type="DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider" connectionStringName="SiteSqlServer" upgradeConnectionString="" providerPath="~\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\" objectQualifier="" databaseOwner="dbo" />
5.        <add name="MySqlDataProvider" type="DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider" connectionStringName="MyConnectionString" upgradeConnectionString="" providerPath="~\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\" objectQualifier="" databaseOwner="dbo" />
6.      </providers>
7.    </data>
in above code, "MyConnectionString" is declared in tag <connectionstrings>
 i add another  sqldataprovider, it work well in dotnetnuke 4, but in dotnetnuke version 5.5.1, it have error. Someone can give me solution????

i want to declare my new sqldataprovider and use it to connect another database. Can u give me the hint???
