jQuery has not been loaded, this is why you have got jQuery is not defined. Html file looks for paths in different way from the module. Can you tell me path where your script located is?

And yes, the path is DesktopModules/YourModule/js/...
Even if a give js file direct in folder of module i get the same error.
Like the file is not there...

My js file is in folder:

DesktopModules/MyModule/js/jsfile.js

Try to use

<script src='<%=ResolveUrl("js/jquery-1.4.3.min.js")%>' type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src='<%=ResolveUrl("js/jquery-ui-1.8.6.custom.min.js")%>' type="text/javascript"></script>
