hi, i just checked out the source copy of dnn with some modules inside from svn, and starting to build inside a computer with win7 64 bit and vs 2010 sp1. if i start to publish the site to compile some modules, i obtain in some dnn page the following errors

Error 1 Circular file references are not allowed. ...\Website\DesktopModules\Admin\Lists\listeditor.ascx 6 
Error 2 Unknown server tag 'dnn:ListEntries'. ...\Website\DesktopModules\Admin\Lists\listeditor.ascx 33 
Error 3 Unknown server tag 'dnn:ListEntries'. ...\Website\DesktopModules\Admin\Security\EditProfileDefinition.ascx 34 
Error 4 Unknown server tag 'DNN:profile'. ...\Website\DesktopModules\Admin\Authentication\Login.ascx 100 

how can i solve this problem? i need to publish all the project. if i remember well, first time i compiled dnn in the old computer, i had to add some dll in the bin directory to publish it. If so, which are these dlls?

please note, we used to not support publishing sites in vs.net (as we use our own custom localization and not asp.net's default localization), i am not sure if this is still the case. However I would recommend that you create your modules as seperate WAP projects and build that way, rather than try to compile WSP (app_code) modules.

i understand, but for some reasons we started this way and it worked, and the compiled module works in dnn 6.0.0 too.
normally i publish the site, extract from the compiled site the dirs and dll and copied in the destination site and worked, but now i'm not able to compile the same installation of dnn that worked in the previous computer

please try and compile the project in release mode to build all the references and run the msbuild post-build scripts and then change to debug and try a release and see if that works.
