Hi everyone,

I've been trying to get a user avatar to show in the module, but every time I get it, it is of original size, say 5MB. Now imagine a comments module having to show user avatars beside every comment would take forever to show a page with 100 comments.

I hope I missed the setting in DNN to resize on upload, but anyway even if it is not there, how do I get the resized avatars having small size?

Thanks!

There is currently no native way that I have found to control the size of user profile images - which has been a source of some considerable frustration in the past.

Thanks, Wes!

In this case my best guess would be creating a module that cycles through registered user avatars, and resize them if the size/dimension is larger than max allowed.

The only thing I can't figure out right now is how do I make it run periodically, without admin having to go and push the button...

Any guess how to do it?

For those who didn't solve it I found an article on how to create a custom sheduled task in DNN:
