I have a request from a client and I have not designed anything to work this way.
The request is to have Registered Users view a training video.
A way to generate a list of member users who have viewed the video
last a way to offer the users who have viewed the video a certificate

My initial idea is to create a sign up form using name and email with email as a required field
The reply email sent from the form to include a link to an unpublished page hosting the video
The member can click the link and view the video
I am now stumped on how to validate the member has viewed the video and offer a link to a page to print out their certificate.

Any ideas on how I can do this?

Hello,

Just a thought, you might add a new security role - say "Training Complete" - and then just add the user to the "Training Complete" role once they've viewed the video.

If you do that, then you can use existing DNN security to show the certificate... You just put it in a module that's only visible to "Training Complete" users. You can then also make the start of the training program visible to only Registered Users who aren't in the "Training Complete" group - if you wanted to do that...
