i'm sure others have experienced this so i'm asking this question here...

Environment

Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate
Local IIS Windows Component installed (just about all options)
Visual Studio 2010 Pro
app pool set to v4.0
module assembly set to v4.0

i'm using the development environment  in the bit.ly/moduledev post

for the most part everything is working ... EXCEPT Debug
i've tried numerous solutions found on the web.. but no matter what I have to attach to the process because VS tells me that IIS isnt configured correctly to debug ... ctrl-F5 of course works fine .. then I attache to the process...

I know its not a HUGE deal .. but it bugs me! ... something else I noticed .. at one point my app pool got set to v2.0 and debug worked fine ... setting back to v4.0 causes this error ...

has anyone out there solved this?

have you recompiled the solution (if you use a source package you need to build in release mode first to build the necessary packages, and then build in debug mode - whilst release will create PDB's , the debug PDB's are better for attaching to)

it actually ended up being an easier fix, just getting rid of the auto created virtual folder fixed the issue
