What is the difference between Search Results and Search Crawler Results

Til now one major difference I have observed  is that file-intext (text inside files) search only shows up in Crawler

Search Crawler Results is part of DNN Open Search, acquired from Xepient for DNN Pro and Enterprise only. While DNN built in search creates a search index from querying modules via a platform interface (including content with access restrictions), Open Search uses a crawler, spidering all web site pages like an unauthenticated user would see it and create an index like Google or Bing does.

I am using DNN Professional, and I don't want to use the crawler.  Is there something in the configuration I have to do to tell the system to use the build in search mechanism rather than the crawler?

Arpan - no, the index files are on the file system under the DNN install.

Jay - you can use either. Just use whichever module you want.
