The thing is this.

We have added the document library to a test page and configured  it so that we can upload pdf documents. But we keep having a strange problem.

Every time I upload a document it will go the next page.  (The page where you  can edit the setting) But then it will not submit it when I press “Bewerken” (or the English version edit). Even if I add a description or a date it doesn’t submitted it.

The hardest part is it doesn’t gif an error. So I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
There is also no error in the event viewer.

So the only thing I could do was “Annuleer” (or cancel in English) .  And what a surprise! the file was uploaded  but it did not save the settings I gave to it.

If I edit the file again it still will not save my changes.
And again it is still not giving me a error. It just sad is saving the changes and nothing happens.

The file is submitted by a administrator with host rights so that can not be the problem. There are no other problems. Viewing and deleting are no problem.

I’m missing something somewhere… but what?  What is wrong?

do you try the same with default Darknight Skin and Container applied to the page?

After a view hour i thought of a genius plan. Why not post the Document library on a blank page.
And it works. (DUH!!!!) So we deleted all the other modules and found that the Contact module was conflicting with the Document library.

It was a really easy answer but after a hour of searching you just get frustrated.
And because it didn't give me any error and all the other options had no problem. I was almost sure there was something in the setting.

Thanks!

I am glad, you were able to solve the issue - most likely both modules had conflicting client side JavaScript code. Turning on JS errors in the browser will help you to detect problems like this.
Have fun using DNN :-))
