Hello..

I have a custom module which we use to display flash banners; they display different banners according to the seasons.  I have it configured to be displayed on all pages.

But when I create a new page (page management, etc), there are 15 instances of this custom module added to the page.

How do I stop this from occurring?  Thanks..

are you using language specific pages (AKA DNN content localization)?

Hello Sebastian..  Thanks for the reply..

No, there's only English pages, so I'm not sure why this is occurring.

I created a Codeplex project if you wish to test the install and see if you have the same issues.

Thanks..

Hello,

Last week I set up a new DNN7 site on my local machine for development purposes and imported a number of existing pages from the live web site. I noticed the same behaviour as you describe. I have a few modules that were marked to appear on all pages. Every time I create a new page (or import a page) I get multiple instances of the modules. Appearently the modules on each page are marked to appear on all pages so when a new page is created it has an instance for every page that already contained the module.

Since my website is rather small the solution was simple. I went through all the pages and deleted all  "shared"  module instances. Now I can create clean new pages and when the site is finished I mark the modules on the home page to appear on all pages.

I am not sure if this is expected behaviour or not and do not have the time at the moment to investigate the problem any further. I hope that someone from the DDN team will have look at this.

Kind regards
Jos Driessens
