Hi,
i'm searching a module/extension that allow me to retrieve and display data from a db external do DNN7 db.
I think the best is a grid that display data of a table or a view that are in a SQLServer database (maybe setting my connection string and query in the module settings).

Thank you and have a nice day

Teo

Most standard modules choose to store/retrieve data from the base DNN database.

I think it's unlikely that a standard module will do anything different.

However that's not compulsory and a custom written module could do this.

Thank you Richard,
i hope to find a free customized module that can help me.
I had found SQLGridSelectedView but i can't use it with my DNN 7.

Actually, the Reports module will do it.

So also will SGSV, a superb module from tressleworks.ca.

There are others including XmodPro, modules from Onyak and modules from DataSprings. There probably are others.

I'm trying Reports and it's good, first cause it's free!
I think that for read only data viewer i will use it, now i will think to the best solution to edit data and send it to database.

Thank you very much
