I've been trying out Christoc's excellent DAL2 templates and trying to get familiar with them. Unfortunately he's had to abandon work on a new set of Task Manager tutorials that would've achieved similar to those he'd written for DNN 5 (a real shame but completely understandable).

Is anyone aware of a set of tutorials that takes you from the very beginning for someone new to DNN development? I'm aware of but not had experience of the previous DAL methods but given DAL2 and petapoco, it seems appropriate to not burden myself with old knowledge.

Scott Wilkinson has a great set of module development tutorials over at dnnhero.com. Of course, that's a subscription site. Still, well worth the price of the subscription.
