So ive created a module that uses a text changed event handler. In VS 2012 the code is without error. However when I try to use my module in DNN 7 i get the following error:

main.ascx has this:
Protected Sub TextBox1_OnTextChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Handles TextBox1.TextChanged

main.ascx.vb calls it like this:
<asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server" OnTextChanged="TextBox1_OnTextChanged" AutoPostBack="true"></asp:TextBox>

Anyone have a clue why its not seeing it?

well my ascx page has this: 
<%@ Control Language="vb" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeBehind="Main.ascx.vb" Inherits="DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase" %>

then the ascx.vb page has this:
Namespace adama.TestModule
    Public Class Main
        Inherits PortalModuleBase

Im not sure how to check the dll 

Yes - Sababrata is correct - your .ascx file can't find the procedure because it is looking in PortalModuleBase, not TestModule.Main.

If you're still having trouble, check your root namespaces in Visual Studio - do that by right-clicking on the project and choosing properties. I've seen people have trouble because Visual Studio is adding a namespace onto the one they've specified in their files. So, it might look like adama.adama.TestModule.Main... if that makes sense.
