I am trying to use the dnn:TextEditor control in my custom module.  This is NOT for a settings page, but a regular module control.  I am using DNN 7.3.4.  My TextEditor is in an asp:UpdatePanel.

At first, the text being entered into the control was not being saved.  I found this old article: http://www.dnnsoftware.com/forums/for...

When I did what that article recommended, the value started being saved, but it now causes a complete page postback.  Here is the code I added:

protected void Page_Init(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
    if (DotNetNuke.Framework.AJAX.IsInstalled())
    {
         DotNetNuke.Framework.AJAX.RegisterPostBackControl(pnlSettings.FindControl("btnSaveGeneral"));
    }
}

(pnlSettings is my UpdatePanel)

Instead of just updating my UpdatePanel, it reloads the entire page, which is not desirable.  It does the same thing whether I have the module set as "Supports Partial Rendering" checked or not.  Does anyone know a way to save the value without posting back the whole page?

Thank you.
