Would anyone happen to know how to integrate SignalR with DNN's authentication system?  SignalR is such a powerful technology that I am a bit surprised on how little there is to find on this topic within the DNN community.  Although Chris Hammond has written some nice articles on how to work with SignalR in DNN, and has even written an open source chat module that is helpful to get started.  But again, there doesn't seem to be anything on handling security, which is necessary for modules going into production environments.

Ideally there would be DNN authorization attributes available, similar to how security is handled within DNN's WebAPI Service Framework.  Although I am assuming this has not been built into the platform yet, and if you wanted something similar, you would have to roll your own.

Given the sudden surge in creating great SPA modules, it would be very helpful to the community if anyone with experience with SignalR could provide some suggestions on how they would handle authorization with DNN.  Thanks!
