I hope someone can help me with this.  I am using dnn 8 and created a SPA module using the templates and everything works fine.  My issue is when I go and add a Telerik Kendo UI Grid to the page and define the columns in the grid it fails with an ‘Error processing’ and can’t define ‘field’  I run the same code out of DNN and it works fine so I think there is a conflict in the js.  Any ideas how to fix this?

columns: [

          "ProductName",

          { field: "UnitPrice", title: "Unit Price", format: "{0:c}", width: "130px" }

        ]

Can you show us how you are integrating the Kendo controls & related scripts?

We are also experiencing this same issue. Has anyone come up with a workaround or fix?

The problem is DNN is treating the array literal as a token: [ { jsname: "Knockout" }]

Create your config object as follows.

var config = {};

Add the columns like this.

config.columns = new Array();
config.columns.push("ProductName");
config.columns.push({ field: "UnitPrice", title: "Unit Price", format: "{0:c}", width: "130px" });

Then pass the config to the grid.

$("#grid").kendoGrid(config);

DNN is interpreting the array literal as a token such as [ { jsname: "Knockout" }].
Create you config and add the columns as follows.

var config = {};
config.columns = new Array();
config.columns.push('ProductName');
config.columns.push({field: "UnitPrice", title: "Unit Price", format: "{0:c}", width: "130px"});

$("#grid").kendoGrid(config);
