What is the ControlKey element for Module component type use for in the manifest file used for? Sometimes it has a value and sometimes not.

This official document page has no information about it!

Tony,

the standard view control does not have a value, and the value is used to load a specific control.

Consider you have a button on the default view control labelled "Do Something" and a CommandArgument holding some ID, and a control where the Controlkey is "DoSomething" - in the code behind click event you can load the "DoSomething"-control by

Response.Redirect(EditUrl("SomeID", editButton.CommandArgument, "DoSomething"));

To load the standard view control from there, you can use

Response.Redirect(Globals.NavigateURL(), false);

Happy DNNing!
Michael
