Ok, hope this is the right forum.

There are few articles describing on how to create DNN custom membership provider but all in 4.X version. My question is, will it be the same as DNN5?

Also, will it work if build with .net 4.0? It seems that we need to inherits from DotNetNuke.Security.Membership.MembershipProvider, instead of System.Web.Security. Why is that? Do we have to?

The process to create a new provider is going to be the same.
