Hi,

I want my users to be able to login using the same username/password combination on multiple portals within the same DNN instance.

I have written a custom authentication provider, but when looking through the DNN source I noticed all GetUser...() functions require a PortalId parameter.

How can I check if the user exists in any of the other portals and if so register the user on the current portal as well?

i would assume you have 1 main portal where all users must be registered? so thats the portalid to check then. Otherwise, the only other option i think would be to loop through all portals...

I'm affraid I don't have a main portal... Maybe I can only loop through all the portals when I get a duplicate username status from CreateUser()?

Do you happen to know how to register a user with another portal?

Have a look at Portal Login on Michael Washington's site, it works for dnn4 I've not tried it with dnn5 yet.
