Hi

I've had to use an ie6 PNG transparency script as about 10% of our users still don't understand what a browser is.

I battled with DNN for a couple of hours trying to get the script to work (http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/demo/).  I eventually tested is on a basic aspx page and it worked fine.  I then went back to localhost and for some reason it was working!

I realised that if i go to say http://localhost/Home/tabid/39/Default.aspx the scripts don't load correctly.  But if i just go to localhost everything works fine.

Anyone know why this might be happening?  I wouldn't bother but as so many of our customers use ie6 it's not really an option.

I initially added the scripts byy just adding them to the Default.aspx page in my dnn root.  Once i discovered that it worked i moved the script to my skin.  Same problem no matter where it is.

Please help!

I had the same issue. One potential pitfall is that references to htc files in your CSS are relative to the web root, not the location of the CSS file.

I ended up using Dean Edwards' IE7 script instead (is on google), partly because it also fixes other issues and partly because it operates on pngs wth a specified filename-ending.

The twinhelix script handles backgrounds repeats better, but is not as simple to aim at specific files and if used more generally, IE6 really grinds to a halt. You end up with hundreds of hits per pageload.

Regards
Rob

Ha, I was just about to post saying I got it working but IE6 just crashes and takes for ever to load.  Thanks I'll have a crack at implementing the other solutions.
