(I guess that RazorHost hasn't earned it's own forum yet ...)

So, I have a list of userinfo items:

        var users = (new RoleController()).GetUsersByRoleName(Dnn.Portal.PortalId, "Subscribers");

What is would like to do is to sort this list by various profile properties -- last name, first name, etc -- or by combinations -- last name and then first name.

Can someone give me pointers on how to do this?

The result is an ArrayList so you can use some Linq to get what you need. Checkout http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vcsharp/aa336746 for some examples on how to do this.

I was trying to do something like that, but not successfully.

My code looks like this:

var users = (new RoleController()).GetUsersByRoleName(Dnn.Portal.PortalId, "TeamMembers");

  var eList = from user in users
     orderby user.LastName.ToString()
     select user;

I get this error:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\beta.ainq.com\DesktopModules\RazorModules\RazorHost\Scripts\_TeamList.cshtml(19):
error CS1934: Could not find an implementation of the query pattern for source type 'System.Collections.ArrayList'. 'OrderBy' not found. Consider explicitly specifying the type of the range variable 'user'.
 ---> System.Web.Http
CompileException: c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\beta.ainq.com\DesktopModules\RazorModules\RazorHost\Scripts\_TeamList.cshtml(19):
error CS1934: Could not find an implementation of the query pattern for source type 'System.Collections.ArrayList'. 'OrderBy' not found. Consider explicitly specifying the type of the range variable 'user'.

What am I doing wrong?

Got it! I needed to give an explicit type to user:

eList = from UserInfo user in users

Thanks for your suggestion.
