hi everyone i have this problem with a website that log size is too much so i need to shrink it and since i don't have permission to run queries online i what is the best way to shrink this database?

please give me step by step instructions thanks

database transaction log should be shrinked automatically upon frequent nightly backups. You should contact your hosting provider, if this doesn't happen. Or do you need to truncate DNN event log and sitelog table and shrink the database itself?

Hi again this is what i did last night
1- Created a new database on my local SQL management
2- Exported my website database into my local one
3- Shrink the local DB
4- Deleted and recreated the website DB
5- Imported DB files from my local PC
But website keeps showing this error :

Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'LogEventID'

you need to make sure that all constraints and primary keys are properly created. It looks like the database created based on the exported data does not match all the original database. Either use backup & restore or make sure that all constraints and IDs get created properly.

how can i check that all i have right now is this new database isn't there anyway to fix this since it seems that this table errorrefers to consist only event information among logging and etc...

can shrinking cause this error?
