Hi All

I finally bit the bullet and to a hositng provider DNNmart, all is well and I am rebuilding my site.  The only problem I am having is probably simple, I have a Excel spreadsheet and I can copy and paste all the rows into SQL 2012, which contains user details, however when I go into my site and select Admin - Users it does not display any, I can run a SQL script and that displays all the users, so the question is how do I get all the users to be shown under Admin - Users

It happens about the users also ASPNET_Tables encrypted between the Maschine Key of your instance. For Import you have to use a application like Import/Export users. Check teh DNN Store and the Extenssion Forge please.

I am not sure if the Import/Export Module have Feature to Import from your Excelsheet.

Hi

Thank you for the reply, I ahve used the DNNimpoter, but unfortunaly it only imports certain fields, I did raise this in another post but sadly no replies, I am thinking the quickest way to around this, is to use the DNNimporter, then run an update query within SQL, to add the extra data.

I prefer using Bulk User Manager by PHDobson, which is able to import users and roles with all properties, but if your import solution supports a subset, you may complete tables by uploading the table (saved as csv) into a temp table on the server and use SQL to copy over properties. Please be aware that those are stored in multiple tables: aspnet_users, aspnet_membership, users, userportals and userprofile.

We are a small athleteics club and dont have much spare cash to purchase modules, I looked at the Bulk Importer and the product is no longer available, so I have gone back to using the DNN.UsersImporter 01.00.00 it works, with the exception of it wont display fileds like address etc, but the users can update that for themselves.

The only other querry I have is, once I have imported all the users from Excel, is there an option to mass email all these users letting them know what they current password is and they need to change it next time they log on.
