Hi,

I have installed new MS Sql Server R2 on my local computer with collation Turkish_CI_AS. I take error when I installing dotnetnuke 07.00.04 CE. I thing it is about collation. How can I solve this issue. So I have to use turkis collation in my database setup. 

Help me please!

DNN does support collation Latin_CI_AS only, sorry.

Hi, thanks for answer. I thing understand it. But, I have a question. Which of them I must do it for setup sql(collation configuration) server before installin dotnetnuke 7.0.4 CE.

1- I can collation set to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS default when installing new SQL instance on my local computer. If I need turkish information on new database Ithing create new database with collation value set to Turkish_CI_AS from default collatin.(SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS)

2 - I can collation set to Turkis_CI_AS default when I installing new SQL instance on my local computer and then I create new database with collation set to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS and then install dotnetnuke latest version which is 7.0.4.

Which installation section is correct for dotnetnuke latest version? So, I am quest to you this question, because; my hosting service can not help me on this about, they did not install dotnetnuke for me yet. I can install in my local machine with default collation value that is SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS. But my hosting support team could'nt it. I am taking test in my local with different installation type. I have just write above. 

I hope you will understand my problem and you will take suggestion for me

You should set default collation of the server to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS for your instance and switch to Turkish collation for other databases, while the DNN database needs to use default collation. No worries, DNN stores texts using nvarchar, i.e. Unicode, which supports all special characters like Turkish I.
