we run version 6 with about 80 live sites on a reasonably speced server, currently every 15 mins iis freezes. we look in log files and see the following error (below). we know there's been alot of bogus registration accounts so we have done the following

1. removed registrations 

2. virus checked

3. deleted all sites not active

4. used bulk user delete module to clean up users

5. we run a webserver connecting to a sql server. we have increased memory on sql

this has not effected this issue and we cant stop it?? any ideas?

we are running version 6, im assuming you want log files. we have spent all day fixing errors, we have virus checked, deleted bogus user accounts, cleared log files, added more memory. looked at exception files. were now at a loss

Thread aborted is often caused by the database not responding in time. please check your database, make sure the Transaction log is nox exceeding size and there are no tables with millions of entries.

we have done that, also it looks like bots cause alot of the issues. is there a way to stop bots like majestic12.co.uk
