 I've read a few questions on this but no answers from anyone. I have a clean install of DNN and have not done anything to the FAQs modules. I simply add it to the page and get the following, PLEASE HELP :

make sure, both connection strings in your web.config file are identical.

No they are not. I followed the tutorial at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/1202/DNN-SQLExpress-SQL-Server-Management-Studio.aspx to make the database accessible from SQL Server management studio.

As a result, my Config.web has the following 2 connection strings :

In <connectionStrings> :

<add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=False;Database=DotNetNuke;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

and in <appSettings> :

<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" />

If I change either of these, then none of my sites are available. The all give an error.

The article specifies clearly:

3) Update the connection strings in the DNN web.config file.  Do not forget to use the same connection string in the <ConnectionString> and <AppSettings> section.

FROM
Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;

TO

Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=False;Database=DotNetNuke_ModDev;
