Ok, first it works for awhile the a day or 2 later, the answer cannot be loaded. I have the module installed in 3 pages, all of them failed to load answer after a while.

I cannot change the cache to none, so I picked File > 0

Also found that the faq script registered as
<_script language=javascript src="/DesktopModules/FAQs/scripts\AjaxFaq.js">
The last \ should be /

I tried manually register the script and the answer cannot be loaded also.

Tried in all browsers...all cannot...gave up.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

After spending some time on this issue, I found that it is not the FAQ module issue but the DNN Core Gzip issue.
Apparently there is a compression bug since version 5 and I suspect version 6 has the same issue as well.

SOLUTION: Turn off gzip compression, install page blaster for gzip...

George,

I encountered a similar issue using the same versions of DNN and FAQ.
I have the module loaded on several pages, was going along smoothly with Q and A, then lost the Rich Text Editor for the Answers.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks,
John

Very strange--I found that in another module (html), within my portal, I had toggled the Editor to 'Basic Text Box' and saved.

When I edited content in a (any) html module and returned the Editor to 'Rich Text Editor' the Rich Text Editor is again accessible in the FAQ module. Since toggling between Basic and Rich Text is not an option in the FAQ module Editor, it is necessary to open any html module to toggle these.

I was stumped and glad I noticed this, as I haven't noticed it in other versions of DNN and I've been using DNN for several years now.

Cheers,
John
