Which version of FAQ and which version of DNN are you using?
In general: switch off GZip compression on host level

FAQ version 4.5.1, DNN version 6.2.1 (Community edition)

I can't find anything called "GZIP" compression in the host settings (where can I find it please?).

Solution: upgrade to the latest version of FAQ (05.00.02): http://dnnfaq.codeplex.com/releases/v....

You are using an old version of FAQ.

GZip compression has been removed from host settings in DNN 6.2, so you cannot fnd the setting anymore.
