My company would like to make some modifications to the feedback module 4.04.03. I downloaded the source.zip file, but am unsure where to go from here. Is there a place that has instructions on how to open/edit the project so it COMPILES (right now I am getting errors on the DNN Label control) and then how do I, once my edits are made, get my modified module into my DNN website? I have never had to edit a module as a separate project before so I'm not sure how to go about it.

We need to add fields to the Feedback form, and aren't comfortable using a beta release to do so. Is there any date which Feedback 5.0 will become a full release version? That would of course be our ideal solution but aren't sure if it will be ready in time.

Thanks.

For how to add module's source package to DNN development environment, please refer to :www.aboutdnn.com/Blog/tabid/76/EntryID/5/Default.aspx

If you want to customize the Feekback fields, you can consider the third part module, there are many those modules you can find in www.snowcovered.com

The other poster's link for opening up the source project is a good one and can definetely be used to get the source version working.
With regards to a release date for 5.0 it would be as soon as it passes the testing process. There were a couple of bugs uncovered during the beta testing which are currently being ironed out and once that is completed, it will be submitted to the release tracker to get officially released.

Thanks for the replies.

I tried following the instructions given, but the problem is the way that all the code behind files are stored in the "resources.zip" archive. What do I do with this files and where do I unzip this archive to have everything work as it should?

If you install the source version, it will automatically unzip the contents of the resource file and place them in the appropriate directory. Have you tried doing that?
