The only way to solve the problem for me was to fix the source.
No I have the following features:

- bug free HTML (thats one of the biggest problems of all in DNN at it's modules)
- it works with Mozilla, Firefox ( in Germany over 30% are using this Browser, in Europe >20%), IE6
- a version that is working correctly (but without moderation)
- free chooseable Lists in Feedback
- Category filter in Comment view
- free chooseable Lists in Comment view
- the category will be displayed with the comment view entry (the original version shows a number !!!!)
- delete Comment
- answering button (Outlook is shown as a popup)
- fully translateable

This module is like all other modules I tried from the 4.3.1 version. every module has bugs. The Text/HTML has a caching problem (I wrote a comment in the forum for that module). The Document-Mudule crashes when I change the the displayed rows and the order of the rows. The What's new module doesn't display special characters like the German ü Ä ö ß . The forums HTML output is corrupt so the resulting page cannot be displayed. The module renders a table structure that is not correct (missing /td and /table tags). Some menus in the forum are still working only in IE.

When you do not want to deploy source code on the web server do not use the 4.x versions.

DNN is a great framework but in the moment you cannot use it out of the box. You can use it as developement platform for your own portals.

As an admin user, I went under "site tools" -> "permissions" and the categories were at the very bottom of the page and an option to add them was there.

Hi,

About the "site tools", is that under the admin dropdown?

My own Feedback module has subject (category) creation PER MODULE instance.  And it allows you to route the email to a different recipient based on what subject is selected.  And it allows you to customize the success message based on what subject was selected.

Make it worth my while and I will send you a copy.

Why hasn't this modules team answered to this thread? I really miss Mark Hoskins comments on this subject.

Mark - could you please answer or comment this thing about Categories in the Feed back module.
