Hi,

I am having problems formatting the core Feedback module. When I go into settings ->'Form and Field Settings'-> and choose '( ) Same line as field' for the labels they are above the fields and the label is inside the field, disappearing when you type (see screenshot 1). - Also how can you reformat that huge blue 'Send' button?

When you choose 'Above field' the label is on the same line. And then the text label inside the field is gone. (see screenshot 2)

I want only the label inside the field as occurs in first example. However if you delete the label text from feedback.ascx.resx it goes away in both places.

Hi,

To be honest I'm not sure why you have text inside the field, it's not meant to do that. I haven't worked on this to format properly in DNN 7 as yet, but may get to do some work on it next weekend. If you can provide a link to the page on your site, I'll have a look at that as well.

If I could just get the labels on top of the cells to go away it would be great! Making the 'Send Email' button smaller would be nice as well.

Hi Will,

As I said before the text inside the fields shouldn't be there, so I won't be looking to how to remove the text above the fields. I've tried the module on a new DNN 7.0.5 install and this does not happen. Have you tried the module on a default skin and perhaps on a newer version of DNN 7, 7.0.1 is an early release and would be likely to have bugs :-(

I have identified an issue where the setting to show the label above the field does not work on DNN 7, so I'm correcting that. I'm also looking at the issue where the required field marker (a red asterisk after the field label) isn't showing on DNN 7. It's proving problematic to get it to show properly, so it may take a little while to get a new module version out.

The size of the Send Email button is almost certainly being set by your site skin, since it the module is just using the standard dnnPrimaryAction styling. I would discuss this with your skin developer.
