Yikes guys -

Feedback module on one site - all it is for is to send notes to the admin

Feedback module on another site - more for a guestbook

They are both part of the same dotnetnuke install and database, but on TWO SEPARATE PORTAL SITES.

The comments from the first are showing up on the second.

Any ideas?

(fyi - opened up DNNP-3710 re this as well)

Yes, when working on a multi-portal website, this is really annoying. I've just had to turn it to premium...

This is the situation:

When DNN4 released, I rebuild my entire site on DNN4.0.3, The main portal, has 1 page, a html box and a Feedback form.  (see link under my nickname)

This summer, I upgraded to DNN4.3.4. I first upgraded the core, then I uploaded the new modules, including the new contact module. I added a parent portal (see link in my signature) This portal has multiple pages, one of these pages uses also uses the Feedback form.
This Feedback form uses the new functionality, it has the second module (guestbook) showing only for administrators so an admin can log in and see every Feedback request that is made.

Here is the problem:

When you use the contact form on the first portal, the text somehow shows up in the guestbook module on the second portal. I do not think this is intended behaviour.

*** I see this has been spotted before. How come this happens? any news???

I snooped into the database (dso_xxx_Feedback) and there does not seem to be a column that stores the portal that created the feedback.

Adding a portal column and incorporating it into the feedback module might be the way to go -- from a relative newbie's point of view.

But, that's way beyond my capabilities with ASP!

Just my $.02.

Just my humble opinion (not being one of the developers, etc) but its my guess that this module was released way too soon - it is still very much in an alpha stage...

I haven't seen the project lead comment on this (or any other recent concern) yet...
