I came here looking for answers to why this module started flaking out.  I have found many users that have posted various solutions to a 0 users online issue.  My users "seem" to show up 1 hour after they have actually logged in.  There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason for this activity being displayed.  I have attempted every fix posted on for getting this module to function.  The time zone changes do not seem to effect this module.  There are not any bugs listed out there to be fixed in the source code area.

I don't understand if this module is causing so many problems how does it get packaged with DNN?  Could we get some support from a developer on why or how this module is acting the way it does?

My server is in a EST and I am CST.  I have tried setting the site to CST, EST, and even MST.  Nothing seems to make a change.

I don't understand what exactly is putting a using into the UsersOnline table because certainly the login page is not doing it, which makes no sense at all!

I don't know how but eventually it all started working again.  Now all I have to deal with is the 20 min wait after a users logs out?  I set the user buffer time down to 3 min but shouldn't a "logout" take the record of the User out of the UsersOnline Table?

You also have to set the scheduled task to run as well as setting the buffer time down...

I cranked the buffer time to 3 it seems to cause the site to not notice people logging in.  So I went up to 5 min and its working ok.  My question is when someone logs out why would the site not take them out of the DNN_UsersOnline table?  This seems really basic to me.

I have the scheduler running every 20 seconds now.... It was on every min.  No matter how often it runs the site will not pull the user out of the table until the buffer time has exceeded.  Again why wouldn't clicking the logout provide this functionality?

Ok so now with those settings while I am using the site it takes me off the people online list.  I am still logged into the site?  Why is this so hard to get to function properly?
