We use the iFrame module to take donations on one of our sites using an outside vendor.  When the transaction is done from our confirmation page (still in the frame at this point), we want to have a link in the confirmation page that refreshes the entire browser and takes them back to our homepage, instead of taking them to our homepage inside the iFrame.  This is probably an HTML/code question, but how can we force a refresh.

Thanks,

Dave

I couldn't figure this out so I grabbed a blank skin http://www.snowcovered.com/Snowcovere... and used it with no links.  The donation confirmation now loads text in the iFrame which is really a blank skin page with text.  It is a "workaround" and worked for us in this situation, but not the optimal solution.

I talked to the Sage, the not-for-profit account software company that supplies the donation mechanism we are using in the iFrame and they said they have others with this same problem.

I think it would be good for the DNN iFrame development crowd to address a good way to break out of the iFrame using a link within the iFrame module.

Thanks for all your efforts on the DNN modules, great stuff.

If you want a link in an IFrame'd page to load in the browser's main window, the simplest way is to use TARGET attribute and set it to _TOP:

<a href="mypage.aspx" target="_top">My Link to My Page</a>

You can also do that via javascript, but that's more involved.
