Hi,

I have what seems to be a simple problem, but I can't find a solution.  Maybe it is because I am new to DNN and its environs.

I am using the latest version of IFrame and DNN 5.x.  here is what I want to do:

1) I am hosting a form from an external site.
My site = www.mysite.com
External site = www.externalsite.com

My site page = www.mysite.com/OpenLiveAccount
External site form = www.externalsite/miniaccountform

2) I want to pass my site page to the external form in the IFrame:

src = "www.externalsite.com/miniaccountform?ref=www.mysite.com/OpenLiveAccount"

How do you do this, exactly?  None of the built in fields in Iframe querystring settings seems to work.  I have run a script on the page to throw the ref value into a variable but can't figure how to put the variable into the iframe querystring settings.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

note: The following is only an idea regarding the solution direction. I have not tested it and I am not sure if it works.

One option could be to change your design from a 1-step approach to a 2-step approach. Something like this:

a.     My site = www.mysite.com = standard DNN with IFrame module at site page = www.mysite.com/OpenLiveAccount

b.    At www.mysite.com = your self coded intermediar.aspx

c.    External site = www.externalsite.com

My site page = www.mysite.com/OpenLiveAccount calls through IFrame www.mysite.com/intermediar.aspx

Within intermediar.aspx you have something like:

    string strURL = Request.ServerVariables["HTTP_REFERER"];

This will fill the strURL with "www.mysite.com/OpenLiveAccount"

Then use the asp.net IFrame solution to pass it on to External site form = www.externalsite/miniaccountform

It seems that your document.referrer is really just a static value. If that's the case, simply use static parameter:

In left textbox, put "ref"
In right - www.mysite.com/OpenLiveAccount
