Thanks in advance for the help,

I have uploaded a .jpg and a .swf file into my Portal Root folder, however, when I go to put the picture/file onto my dotnetnuke site, it comes up as a red X.

When I upload the images in the Appearance settings of my page this mesage comes up:

"A Critical Error has Occured....Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

I also get an error page when I try to upload an .mp3 file.  It looks like it's uploading then all of a sudden it goes to a runtime error page.

PLEASE HELP.

-Mark

What does the rendered HTML show as the path to the image?  You can do a View >> Source ( in IE ) to check.

MP3 is not ( I believe ) on the default extensions list for allowable uploads ( settable in Host Options ).  However, that should NOT generate an error.  How large is the file?  Perhaps it is exceeding the allowable file size limit set in your web.config ( I believe there is an 8MB default ).
