Just upgraded to 4.5.0 - my Image modules all but disappeared - well sort of !!.

Logged in as host - the image is displayed - AND I can set its properties, not logged in no image displayed - as it is pointing at portal 0 for its image - even though the Page settings patently point to Portal 1 (I am on Portal 1). As host I can still edit the 'Image' module, even though it does not show up as an installed or installable module :-O.

Added a Media module - went to Page Settings and pointed to the correct image. This displays in host mode but NOT in public mode (ie not logged in). BUT if I use the alternative interface 'Edit Module Options' I can ALSO add my image in there, and it then displays the image TWICE when logged in as host but once when not logged in.

This is one VERY CONFUSED module - might I suggest that it needs some serious attention and cleaning up. Having two places to set an image is just WRONG !!.

I now have to remove all my 'Image' modules and add Media modules :-(. Not a very clean 'upgrade' this one....

Regards

Graham

OK - sorry - my fault - I didn't read the screen properly :-O.

The Page Settings refer to an ICON and not the main image. Mind you if you put the main image in there it does behave as originally reported.

The confusion arose because the location in Page settings is exactly where the image details went for the old Image control.

I had further issues with any module below the media module displaying alongside my image (if I left-aligned the image).

So - I gave up and simply added a Text/HTML module with a single Image tag - FAR simpler and more reliable that this new Media module.

I daresay that there is a whole lot of extra functionality provided by this new module - but its certainly not a drop-in for the old Image module.

Must say though that as far as I can see 4.5.0 is way faster that its predecessors, on a limited test site so far ;-)). Looks slicker as well....

Regards

Graham
