For some reason my images that are posted on my portal using the Media module keep disappearing every so often. The images are just jpgs with a link to PDF file. What is causing this?

Unfortunately, I am not able to duplicate this behavior. Can you give me more details?  Which version of the Media Module and DNN?  Are the images and PDFs local files?

I installed the module on a DNN v4.09.00 portal. Then I specified a JPG, and had it link to a local PDF.

I am using DNN 4.07 with Media 3.02.03. And yes the files are local. They are in a subfolder where the editor of the newspaper can FTP to that specific folder. Do you think just upgrading to 4.09 will stop the issue?

I couldn't say without testing it.  My first instinct says no.  However, the upgrade is a good idea.  Along with some extra features, there are necessary security updates in v4.09.00.  That being said, I will try to test this again tonight with v4.08.00 and let you know what I find out.

[EDIT]
I forgot to mention that if you don't already know, the upgrade shouldn't be taken lightly. I would always suggest testing DNN upgrades first.  For instance, create a mirror working copy of the website and upgrade that to see if anything breaks (skins, modules, providers, etc.).

They PDFs are being uploaded using FTP with Fetch. Can this have any affect? For some reason I think it's an issue outside of DNN. The web site is www.oceancitytoday.net if you would like to see the site first hand.
