I'm using DotNetNuke 4.2.  I added an Image Module to my Content Pane.  When I edit the Image Module to specify an image file, I notice an error (An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Could not find a part of the path '\\shared.hosting.local\nfs\cust\6\88\77\677886\web\dnn\Portals\0 ...) before I even do anything.  Then when I select my .gif file with the Browse button and enter Alternate Text and click Update, it gives me the following error:

Error: Edit Image is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: String cannot be of zero length. Parameter name: oldValue ---> System.ArgumentException: String cannot be of zero length. Parameter name: oldValue at System.String.Replace(String oldValue, String newValue) at DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.FileController.GetFile(String FilePath, Int32 PortalId) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Images.EditImage.cmdUpdate_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I tried using the Host File Manage to upload the .gif file but it doesn't upload it.  What is the trick to getting the Image Module to work?  Do I have a bad install of DNN 4.2?

Thanks in advance!

If I understand the scenario, I don't think this has anything to do with the Image Module. There are a few things that come to mind, tho... When you are uploading the image from the Edit Image screen, are you clicking the Upload Selected File link? A lot of users don't notice that link and bypass it. Heck, I know it's there and still do it

Let me know if this helps.

I selected a local file with the Browse button and clicked the upload button.  That seems to work without generating an error.  However, when I then enter the Alternate Text and click Upload I get the following error:

Error: Edit Image is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: String cannot be of zero length. Parameter name: oldValue ---> System.ArgumentException: String cannot be of zero length. Parameter name: oldValue at System.String.Replace(String oldValue, String newValue) at DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.FileController.GetFile(String FilePath, Int32 PortalId) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Images.EditImage.cmdUpdate_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Also, I never see any files under the File Name combo box.

I also tried clicking Browse and selecting the .gif file and then clicking Upload Selected File.  The error message I am getting now is:

A critical error has occurred.
Could not find a part of the path '\\shared.hosting.local\nfs\cust\6\88\77\677886\web\dnn\Portals\0'.

I think this error message is telling me that my DotNetNuke installation has been corrupted.  I tried copying all the files to the root directory one level above to eliminate "\dnn\" in the URL.  When that didn't work, I copied all the files back into the \web\dnn folder.  Some folders may have not maintained their original read\write\execute settings.  I'm going delete everything and start over from scratch.   :(
