I believe this is the error due to secure firewall/browsing.   However, the end user does not get any message at all.

(Not that I care but should your name be in the APIs..  if this is Open Source?).

It should be pretty easy to recreate this and capture and/or test the oEmbed setting that you're trying.  What URL are you using?

It's too late to work this into the current release, but I definitely can do a quick turnaround for something like this, if it is what I think it is.

Sorry for the delay.  I tried at home ..   you tube link to my main you tube page, and also a direct url (per you tube) of a video...  and neither worked.  Both urls validated and both settings saved but errors when viewing the page.

and just tried embed code from you tube and nothing displays...

Are there any demos of this working?

I don't have any public videos yet, but this is successfully working in my demo environments, and has gone through the release tracker successfully, save for the final security audit step.

That said, this is not tested against any proxy.  The dependency of how this module works in a proxy environment is nearly entirely dependent upon the proxy itself, and not DNN or its modules (some more than others).  In the case of the Media Module, this is more true than in other cases.

If any videos are not imported or URLs not translating, then the proxy needs to allow it.  I'd suspect that the proxy doesn't allow normal requests to those sites either.  An easy way to troubleshoot this would be to use a tool like Fiddler.
