I would like to have multiple videos on my site on various pages.  Is there a way that i can have the media module on one page and pass some parameters to it so it would open a new browser window and play the selected video?

thanks,

What you describe is not a feature of the Media Module. There are ways to accomplish such a thing, but it would be dependent upon many things. Nearly every video player would prevent the new window feature from being an option, so you would need to pull a little smoke and mirror trickery to give the illusion that this is happening to your visitors.

The way I would approach this is to take screen shots of the video player and post those images on the pages that you want to capture visitors. These images could be displayed using the Media Module even. These images would point to your preferred video page though, where you visitor would be able to actually play the intended video.
