Will,

Last October you suggested that this conversation should be continued on the Gemini thread.

That has not worked - Israel Martinez suggested it might not be a bug; I disagreed as I feel that when some old upgrade has left me with a broken database, that's a bug.

No further comments happened after that. Then, in January, Will Morgenweck closed it. No comment, no discussion, just closed.

I'm pretty unhappy about that. Someplace in my database's upgrade history, one of the upgrades broke it. I offered to supply the database, no-one ever took me up on that. Yet the issue has simply been closed.

There are clearly other people with the same issue, Michael and others mentioned above, yet we are simply being ignored. DNN claims - reasonably - that you will not document how the database works, because you want to be able to change it. Fair enough, but you won't help us fix our problems and you won't give us the information to fix them ourselves.

That's a pretty shoddy situation.

The original broken database has now moved out of my control - but I discover, today I have another one. I tried to install your own Lightbox Gallery module. It installs clean, but will not show up in the module list. Same issue as I first reported well over a year ago.

It leaves the impression that DNN Corp does not actually care.

Best wishes,

Richard,

good news: Israel Martinez contacted me by email that he has not heard of this issue before :-) As he asked me to give him Host access to the site and database - I can't (see above) - I answered him to contact you because you are willing to provide a database. Let's hope they will re-open this issue...

Best wishes
Michael

I just got an email by Richard, and the problem seems to be that we both have disabled en-US on the portal, and enabled en-GB as the main language. In my case, there is also fr-FR enabled.

I hope that the issue will be re-opened on Gemini now (http://support.dotnetnuke.com/project...).

Best wishes
Michael

 Richard,

he answered me like follows (5/15/2013):

Quote:

I spoke with our QA team today and they're going to be focused 100% on the next release, I will follow up with them after the release and will contact you again when they have resources available.

Let's hope...

Best wishes
Michael
