I am using dnn 6.2.0

I have added a test media page

then added a media module

then i have added a kids rhymes url in the edit media options shown in the url: http://dnnmediamodule.com/Demo/SocialMedia/YouTube.aspx

 then validated the url

When i update i get this error:

Error: Media is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at WillStrohl.API.oEmbed.RequestController.GetOEmbedContent(String RequestUrl, String ProxyAddress, Int32 ProxyPort) at WillStrohl.API.oEmbed.Providers.YouTube.GetVideoObject(String URL, Int32 Width, Int32 Height) at WillStrohl.API.oEmbed.Wrapper.GetContent(RequestInfo Request) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Media.MediaModule.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
The media that was requested was not returned by the remote server. This may be a temporary error, or the media and/or hosting server may no longer be available.

Any help will be appreciated/

Thanks.

Sounds like the video is private...

Best wishes

The next release of the module will not show that error.  It will instead give you a much more user friendly message, but I think Michael is right.  The video is not allowed to be redistributed under oembed for some reason.  This could be because it's private, or because your firewall or something else is blocking the youtube domain.
