Using DNN 4.3.4, no matter what I do I get Invalid Media from the Media module, including existing modules or adding a media module to a page.

In this case I am using simple .jpg files.  Why won't they display?

It appears to do this when images are too large. Of course the error message is completely unhelpful.

And why the module uses HTML resizing of pics and doesn't have an option for maintaining aspect ration is beyond me.
