Unless I am logged in as admin or host the animated gif on my home page does not display (just a red X). I have changed the module settings with no avail.

Allow me to elaborate, this just started after upgrading to the latest version of Media v03.02.03.

Apparently the security settings for the portal files got changed to not allow all users access to the uploaded files folder.

After thinking about it, this may have happened after upgrading to v4.3.7 of DotNetNuke.

How did you fix this problem, or did you? I've had the exact same thing happen with pretty much the same circumstances, though I'm fairly sure it was the upgrade to the latest Media module that resulted in the problem. Earlier in the evening I updated DNN to 4.3.7, but did not notice the problem with images at that time. I can't see any security rights that aren't what they should be where the image files are stored.

I logged in as admin

Went to File Manager under Admin

With Portal Root selected under folders

Under View Folders I selected All Users in Security Settings (scroll down)
