I'd like to contribute to the project...or at least submit my additions so others can benefit from it...and so that with each new release, I won't have to merge. :)

I've already signed the contract thingie. I'm currently on the contacts team.

I have exteneded the module to allow a 3rd rendering type: bulleted list.

Darren, I haven't reviewed your module at all but was hoping you could give me an overview to save me time.

What exactly does this do and why is it needed?

sure, np.

All I did was add a 3rd way to display the links: bulleted list. As it sits, as you probably know, it allows for a listing (either horizontally or vertically) of links or a dropdown list. Both of these have its own panel which is visible or invisible based on the settings selected in the "module settings". Following the way in which these first two are implemented, I added a "bulleted" implementation: added a 3rd panel in the ascx, and also replaced the If / Else with a select case to look at or allow for 3 possibilities, and would may provide for an easier way to add more display options in the future.

I could do some screen shots or a pasting of some of the code to give a better idea. Just let me know. :)
